2018 is set to be our most exciting year ever!
United Methodist Community House is growing! Our biggest area of growth is within our programs. We are extending beyond our walls and reaching out into the community and providing people with programs, services, and support right in their own neighborhoods. We're partnering with schools, churches, and other community based organizations to make sure that our neighbors get what they need.
Increasing the ability of children, youth, adults and families to succeed in a diverse community.
Who We Are
United Methodist Community House (UMCH) is all about "community." Since 1902, we have been meeting the needs of and offering opportunities to children, youth, adults, seniors, and families in our neighborhood, to help them increase their opportunities to succeed. Located in the heart of Grand Rapids, we are committed to serving a diverse population and are continually adapting our programming to best service those who need us most - our community.
Our Core Values
We are a institution and through our beliefs we demonstrate behavior that significantly builds our community.
Through love, we will foster an environment that is fun, educational, safe and supportive.
We have integrity in all aspects of our work. We make commitments with care and then live up to them.
We work in teams, encouraging collaborative networks within organizations and communities that include partnerships across the lines of race, ethnicity, class, nationality, religion, gender, etc.
We believe that doing our very best is not just professional obligation, it is a moral one as well.
