This position is classified Regular Full-time 30, Monday through Friday, no weekends. Qualifications include: high school diploma, ServSafe Certification, previous food preparation and management experience, must be attentive to details and possess a valid driver’s license. Pay will be commensurate to level of experience. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles required; ability and desire to work with preschool aged children; and working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Food Service Manager will be responsible to perform preparation of meals for the Senior Department (includes occasional special events); maintains the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen equipment, kitchen, and dining tables, at standards established by the Kent County Health Code; maintains a positive relationships with vendors; monitors health and safety issues and report any challenge; maintains supplies and equipment inventory; instructs and leads volunteers assigned to the kitchen and/or dining area, regarding proper procedures for cleaning, equipment operation and sanitation of food and food storage/preparation areas.

This position is part-time, various days and times, no weekends. We are seeking an experienced receptionist who loves working with people and can serve as the face of our agency. Candidates must be polished and well-spoken professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be able to offer a kind smile and confidently, warmly and promptly greet and direct program participants and visitors in person and on the phone. Qualifications include a high school diploma; 2-5 or more years of previous receptionist experience using a multi-line phone; and previous office/business administrative/clerical experience to assist with a wide-variety of small projects; and excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills are required. Must also be organized and detail oriented, able to follow protocol and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications include: an Associates in Early Childhood Development/Education, a valid Infant/Toddler child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or previously earned 120 hour approval from the Michigan Department of Education. Previous childcare experience preferred. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles required; ability and desire to work with pre-school aged children; working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Infant/Toddler Teacher will assist in the planning, developing and implementation of classroom activities, keep accurate records, attend mandatory trainings and meetings, maintain certifications (i.e., CPR/First Aid, etc.), assist in preparing for parent/teacher conferences and help maintain the cleanliness and order of the classroom environment. This position requires face-to-face leadership with students and parents.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, schedule may vary. Qualifications include: an Associates in Early Childhood Development/Education and three to six months childcare experience preferred. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles required; ability and desire to work with pre-school aged children; working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Assistant Teacher will assist the Lead Teacher in the planning, developing and implementation of classroom activities. This position requires face-to-face leadership with students and parents.

Qualifications include: a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or Childhood education, specializing in preschool is required, a Master’s is preferred; and one to three year’s teaching experience is required. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree in Social Work; 1 – 2 years previous experience preferred; ability to effectively work with diverse backgrounds; and excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills are required. Must also be organized and detail oriented, able to follow protocol and maintain confidentiality. The Family Engagement Coach will provide, in a manner consistent with UMCH values, support service to the families of our Child Development Center program, including but not limited to mentoring, case management, resource referrals and ongoing follow-up to support resolutions of unexpected challenges and additional threats so that they do not become barriers to the families successful completion of goals.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, schedule may vary. Qualifications include: a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger (“P”) endorsement required. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles. Working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Bus Driver will be responsible for conducting pre-trip and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle, use established routes, instruct passengers regarding safety, operate all vehicle lifts as necessary, keep accurate records and reports as required, within the required timeframe.
