This position potentially works Monday-Thursday, before and/or after school hours. Qualifications include: one-year certificate from college; three to six months childcare or youth-related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles; ability and desire to work with elementary and/or middle school children; working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Activity Leader will assist the site coordinator in the planning, developing, and implementing of classroom activities for after school programs at local schools. This position requires face-to-face leadership in this program and may involve early morning responsibilities.

This position works Monday-Thursday, 30 hours/week. Qualifications include: one-year certificate from college; three to six months childcare or youth-related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles; ability and desire to work with elementary and/or middle school children; working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Activity Leader will assist the program coordinator in the planning, developing, and implementing of social and leadership project activities. This position requires face-to-face leadership in this program.

This position works Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. Qualifications include: one-year certificate from college; three to six months childcare or youth-related program experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles; ability and desire to work with elementary and/or middle school children; working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Day Camp Counselor will assist the program director in the planning, developing, and implementing of camp activities. This position requires face-to-face leadership in this program and may involve early morning or late afternoon responsibilities.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, schedule may vary. Qualifications include: an Associates in Early Childhood Development/Education, a valid Infant/Toddler child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or previously earned 120 hour approval from the Michigan Department of Education. Previous childcare experience preferred. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles required; ability and desire to work with pre-school aged children; working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Associate Teacher will assist the Lead Teacher in the planning, developing and implementation of classroom activities, keep accurate records, attend mandatory trainings and meetings, maintain certifications (i.e., CPR/First Aid, etc.), assist in preparing for parent/teacher conferences and help maintain the cleanliness and order of the classroom environment. This position requires face-to-face leadership with students and parents.

This position is classified Regular Full-time 40, Monday through Friday, no weekends. Qualifications include: high school diploma, ServSafe Certification (or must pass the test within 30 days of employment), previous food preparation and management experience, must be attentive to details and possess a valid driver’s license. Pay will be commensurate to level of experience. Candidates must have the ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages and lifestyles required; ability and desire to work with preschool aged children; and working knowledge of computers and experience with a variety of software applications. The Food Service Manager will be responsible to perform preparation of meals for the Senior Department (includes occasional special events); maintains the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen equipment, kitchen, and dining tables, at standards established by the Kent County Health Code; maintains a positive relationships with vendors; monitors health and safety issues and report any challenge; maintains supplies and equipment inventory; instructs and leads volunteers assigned to the kitchen and/or dining area, regarding proper procedures for cleaning, equipment operation and sanitation of food and food storage/preparation areas.
